Machias Wild Blueberry Festival – Held on the third week and weekend in August in downtown Machias, this 40-year-old festival celebrates the Maine wild blueberry industry in Washington and Hancock Counties with parades, races, musicals, hundreds of vendors and other events. Machias Harvest Fair –The Harvest Fair is a traditional fall festival that is annually held the last Saturday in September at the town’s historical railroad station from 10-4. Dozens of vendors offer locally made art and products as well as farm fresh food. Events include the famous Seagull Calling Contest, a rubber ducky race over Bad Little Falls, pumpkin tossing for children, chili, fudge and cornbread contest and live music. Machias Wine and Beer Tasting Festival -The Machias Wine and Beer Tasting Festival is held the second Saturday of October and features local breweries, craft beers from across the state of Maine and Canada, local distilleries, fun and food. Tickets are $25/$30 and can be purchased at the door.

Blueberry Festival Parking and Shuttle Information
Parking in the town of Machias is limited. FREE shuttle rides are available Saturday and Sunday.
Parking is available at Hannaford’s Supermarket – located at 1 Dublin Street (Route 1). The shuttle drops off passengers at Whole Life Natural Market.
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped parking is available at the parking lot on Main Street, next to Machias Savings Bank.
